Pupils at Brigshaw High School use the internet on a regular basis as part of their learning. As a result we offer regular eSafety activities and guidance sessions throughout the year to remind pupils of the importance of keeping safe online.
Brigshaw recognise that access to the internet, on the whole, is a positive experience and allows pupils access to a world of information and experiences. Regular training and advice helps ensure our pupils are responsible digital citizens, however there are unfortunately some occasions when a pupil may find something which concerns them.
Within school we use systems to filter and monitor internet access to reduce any risk, however we understand that pupils may access the internet within other locations. Whether at home or via a mobile device it is likely that their internet access is unfiltered and possibly unmonitored.
Our Child Protection Policy is available here and the links below contain advice for both pupils and parents to ensure positive use of the internet.
