The Government provides Pupil Premium funding. This is in addition to main school funding. Its purpose is to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and help address national inequalities between the achievements of children eligible for free school meals or children in care when compared with their peers.
At Brigshaw High School, we understand each Pupil Premium student is unique and faces varying degrees of pastoral and academic challenges. Brigshaw High School's aim is to understand the barriers to learning and achievement, to enable those students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve as well as all other students. Closing the gap between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged students is one of our school priorities.
